Human Services Association
HSA serves over 15,000 clients annually, with a range of services for clients of all ages, including: parent resources and classes; Early Head Start and preschool programs; domestic violence assistance; child abuse prevention and intervention; Multipurpose Senior Services Program; care management; Alzheimer’s day care resource center; and congregate and home delivered meals.
HSA is one of the largest social services agencies in southeast Los Angeles County, providing services to the cities of Artesia, Bell, Bell Gardens, Bellflower, Cerritos, Commerce, Cudahy, Downey, Hawaiian Gardens, Huntington Park, Lakewood, Long Beach, Lynwood, Maywood, Norwalk, Paramount, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs, South Gate, Walnut Park, and Whittier.
HSA serves incredibly diverse and otherwise underserved communities. In 2011, 75% of HSA clients were from some of the fastest growing ethnic populations in California (65% Latino, 7% African American, and 3% Asian & Pacific Islander).
